I recently got declined for the reasons below which is from an online letter. what can i do different?

“Your consumer credit bureau score from Trans Union is too low (See below)

Amount of annual income listed on the application is insufficient or missing.

High utilization of credit lines or insufficient utilization information (Trans Union)

Your consumer credit bureau score mentioned above was determined using a scoring system that evaluated the information in your file at the consumer reporting agency named above. The following are the primary factors in your credit report that affected your credit bureau score:

Length of time accounts have been established.

Proportion of loan balances to loan amounts is too high.

Lack of recent revolving account information.

Too few accounts currently paid as agreed. ”

When I look at my credit history, items that should have been removed after a banckruptcy should have been removed, but still remain. How do I challenge these and get them off my credit history?

Recently, someone was trying to open up credit card accounts and fast cash advances with both my husband’s and my name. It’s definately a case of identity theft! Luckily this person wasn’t able to get any credit - mine is not very good and my husband is a new greencard holder.
Is there anyway to dispute these inquiries on our credit reports? I’m sure they’re lowering our credit score!

Many americans not only lost their homes but also got their credit ratings were damaged. Many paid all their credit cards on time but were unable to pay for their mortgages. Wouldn’t be fair that the Gov allow delinquent marks to be removed from our credit reports so we can purchase homes again? The Banks are getting a break. why not us?

I’m trying to not file for bankruptcy. Overdraft protection is the only thing keeping me from making late or no payments at all on my bills and that’s nearly maxed out. I’m in huge cc debt, apppr 35k, and bankruptcy seems like the easiest way out and to feel like a person again. I want to try and fight my way out of this mess if I can. I would like to see if a service can help me but know there’s a lot of scams out there. Is CCCS a debt consolidation service like Debtco or are they two different things? How do I go about finding a fair and reputable service? What types of questions should I ask? I’m near Portland, OR. Anyone have a suggestion of where to find a good service or lawyer (if bnkrp is in the future)?

Also, is a charge off really that much better or different than filing for bankruptcy? What’s the difference when it comes to your credit report and how it is viewed by potential lenders?

I have applied for jobs that say that they pull a consumer credit report on you. I have recently had a Chapter 7 discharge of debt. Can a company legally use this as a reason to not hire me?
