What would you suggest for a 20 year old who is about $2500 in debt…I want to improve my credit but I have 4 negative accounts on my credit report. Would you suggest I get a credit counselor and have them give me budget plan to settle my accounts. Would this help my credit score? Has anyone ever went through Money Management or Consumer Credit Counseling?

Hello. I am in the process of rebuilding credit. I dont want those expensive credit cards like orchard, first premier, applied etc… I recently obtained one from bank of america and like their service, I can get another one as well however was wondering if this will show up as two credit cards on my credit report, or will they just merge the cards into one account on the report? Thanks for any info.

Has anyone had or suspect they have had their Consumer Rights Violated by any Bank in Alabama or Florida? Namely,First Gulf Bank!! Or perhaps any Bank controlled by the Holding Company Alabama National BanCorporation. Violations may include, Failure to comply with Federal Regulation and Codes such as The Truth in Lending Act, The Fair Credit Reporting Act, The Consumer Credit Protection Act or others as Regulated by the Federal Trade Commission. Please advise if you have. I have and I suspect MANY others have as well.

Andy M asked:
I have a credit card judgment on my credit report filed 2001. Do the same rules apply for judgement as debt reporting on the credit report therefore it should be removed 7 years from the date filed. BTW- I haven’t paid this judgment. Also have heard mixed things in terms of who to contact to have judgment removed. Should I first go to the credit bureaus for them to verify or should I go to the law collection agency?
Thanks
