Credit Reports
lostintranslation asked:

I am getting ready to rent out my house and I want to be able to check a prospective tenants credit before making a decision on who to rent to. Where can I check their credit and what kind of fee should I charge the tenant?

I use the Landlord Association of Southeast Wisconsin. You may have some similar group where you live or in a nearby major city. Check the phone book.

We use TransUnion and TransUnion Vantage Data for criminal background checks. They even do an eviction check, *** offender check, FBI most wanted check, and terrorist check! We charge $30/adult for application fee. We ran 78 credit checks in one month and were charged 400.00 it is expensive but very accurate and helpful.
